Our contractor indicated that the door was slightly off level. This was one of the reasons that the door would not close tightly even after we applied a skim coat to the floor. The installer was uncooperative when our builder suggested that the tension could be adjusted so that the closed door would have a tight fit with the floor.

I am sorry that your experience was not as good as we strive to provide. After multiple e-mails back and forth and eleven quotes trying to change from regular hardware to low headroom, back to regular with slightly different looks, we should have sent someone out to look at your project. For that I apologize, I will not make that mistake again. In saying that, in order to correct the issue we took the door back at no cost to you and ordered a new one with hardware that would better suit your needs with a small cost difference in hardware. Regarding the tension. The installer returned to your project and checked that the door was level. It was. If the tension was adjusted as suggested on one side to better fit the floor it would no longer be level and would go up and down crooked in the opening causing issues down the road. He did explain this to your contractor, I have requested a few times that you call at your convenience and talk with our installer as he would have explained this to you as well.
